Do you think it’s “ideal” to have one of each?

Question

I have a son and have a baby girl on the way. Everyone is so excited that I’ll have one of each and how “perfect” that is. While I am SO excited to have one of each I don’t think it’s ideal! I honestly don’t think any situation is the ideal situation but ideal for YOU. Does that make sense 🤣 ?
I guess I would have been just as thrilled to have another boy is all I’m trying to say!

I'm a FTM pregnant with boy girl twins at the moment and I'm so sick of hearing how lucky I am and how I'm done after one pregnancy etc..  so many assumptions.

We had a girl first and now are having a boy and it’s so annoying to hear from many... “you got your boy now”! We were hoping for another girl and then they ask really why?! Well I have all the clothes, toys, chair, snack cups, etc. in girl colors and now I have to buy boy things. Not a super big deal but would have been nice. Besides I grew up with sisters and I’d love for my daughter to have a sister. I know this boy will be just as special and their bond as siblings can flourish the same. I agree with you that ideal is what is best for your family. If you want to stop or keep going that’s on you and your partner not for others to judge and tell you what’s best for you.

I have a son and a daughter and I’m pregnant with number 3 which is another girl. 
And I found when I just had the two I’d get the “pigeon pair” comments “now you’re done” 
And when I got pregnant they say “why didn’t you stop when you had one of each” “when is number 4 coming,let’s hope that one is a boy” 
You honestly can’t win.

I would of loved to have one of each, and I'd have been thrilled if this baby #3 was a boy, so im not saying I'm glad its a girl as I'd be happy either way but practically having 3 girls works so much better 😂 my house is just filled with pink, princessy, glittery everything and my hisband is thrilled 🙃😂

When I was pregnant with my son everyone told me I'd have the "million dollar family" now because I have a 4 year old daughter as well. I think having a 4 person family is ideal only because most things are based on 4 person families lol. I am pregnant with my third, another baby girl and I do want to try for another boy in a few years lol

I think it depends on if this is your last pregnancy or not. For me it would be idea to have another girl because I have a whole wardrobe saved from my first born however, I have always wanted to have a baby boy.

For me as a mother it is ‚great‘ so that I can have both experiences. But to be honest, it is just an old fashion way of thinking. Girls can be just as wild as boy, and my daughter doesn‘t like dresses or anything.  It’s not that all girls are very girly and all boys are all in to boy stuff. And for all the clothes etc it is definitely easier to have two boys or girls.

It really doesn't matter in my opinion. But now you get to experience both genders. So maybe that's what they mean is ideal?
