Do you give toddlers sweet snacks?

So as you all know from all the posts am making about feeding, my baby is giving me the frustration of a lifetime with his food habits. 
In the frustration, I gave him a 1/3 of Milchschnitte today. And boy did he love it. Now wondering if this won't cause him tummy ache. Personally don't eat anything sweet other than ice-cream so I have never suffered from after effects of eating too sweet but I have heard stories of kids who get sick due to eating too much chocolate.  How much is enough at this age? 
For those who don't know Milchschnitte. It is some delicious brownie kinda cookie with creme in the middle.

Thankfully Rosalie isn't too much into sweets but she does love sharing chocolate Haagen Dazs ice cream with her father! I don't give her any candy, cakes or cookies but we have the little peanut butter puffs and yogurt bites? Since we're struggling here too I don't want to introduce her to something sweet that she'll want over healthy food at this point.

We don’t do sweets too often. We had the ice cream truck come by a few days ago first time all summer so we got some ice cream and shared. Usually if it comes to any sweets they are only shared a few bites never the full thing. Before that her popsicles or sweets were baby food that I put into the baby popsicle mold and froze. Which I need to make her some more for the hot days we have left.

Jesse doesn’t care for sweet stuff really but loves crunchy/salty food. He will eat a few tastes of ice cream, brownies, or pound cake though.

Just fruits with meals! She is not given sweet snacks or deserts but I have let her try a bite of ice cream, cookie, etc. if we are eating a bit.

Yes, my LO loves sweet things but I try not to give him adult junk food. I give him fruit pouches (1/2 per day). I usually give him a sweet breakfast like blueberry waffles (no syrup) or baby oatmeal with mashed banana. He loves his strawberries too. I gave him a taste of chocolate cake the other day because it my husband’s bday and he didn’t care for it.

We occasionally will have sweets, maybe once a week or once every two weeks. Generally it’s a chocolate munchkin. When he was teething a lot I broke down and got popsicles just so he would have something. He probably ate them for 2 weeks straight since he had 8 teeth coming in during that time.

We have started to give my LO sweet things. He gets the vanilla wafer cookies a few times a week, or fig newtons, and if he sees me eating chocolate he will make sure I share it with him 😅 he gets chocolate less than once a week though. We have also started giving him watered down lemonade and pineapple juice, as he wasn’t drinking enough water and was slightly dehydrated.

I voted no because we rarely give sweet things. We had friends over for for dinner on Friday and I gave my June baby a cookie when everyone else was having one after dinner. He hasn’t had any sweets like that since his birthday. He loved it! I give my older 2 sweets if they ask and within reason but we don’t have a lot of that on hand. My 4 year old asks for ice cream maybe once/week.

The only sweet things my daughter has had is cake for her birthday and pictures, an oatmeal creme pie twice, occasional graham cracker and ice cream.  It's very rare that she gets sweets.  Every time we go to see our family they always try to give her sweets but I don't allow it.  My aunt the other day couldn't believe she's never had a chocolate chip cookie. Her snacks include yogurt, cheese, nuts, fruits, and unsweetneed applesauce.
