Stool softener? TMI

Hey ladies. I’m expecting baby #3 in Oct. Has any lady found that taking a stool softener daily helped them pass their stool easier after birth? The one thing I’m dreading is the first bowel movement after birth even after taking the stool softener medicines after birth, it never made it too easy.

I used colace before and during my hospital stay and after. It helped tremendously and I had an unmedicated vaginal birth. I was terrified

I HATE stool softeners because it just made cramp way too much. I much prefer using Miralax as it didn’t make my cramp and was able to go easier. You can also use enemas as well!
