Will I be eligible for maternity leave? (US)

My due date is March 17, 2021 (a Sunday). I’m 10w5d and I know due dates are just a prediction, so the baby could come sooner or later. My official first day at my job was March 16, 2020, so my due date is right at the one year mark basically. I’ve worked for my company for longer, though I started as a contractor for them back in November 2019 before they offered me a permanent position this March. I don’t want to tell them until 20-25 weeks that I’m expecting, but per their maternity leave policy (and FMLA) I know I’m only eligible if I’ve been with the company for 12 months.

I’ve done some research, and it seems like it might be a thing where you can use vacation time (for example if I go into labor a week early, I could use a week of vacation time to get me to my one year mark and then be eligible the 4-6 weeks of maternity leave after. Does anyone know if that is true or not, or if it depends on company policy?
