Okay....so it might be me over thinking things but I’m trying to figure out why in 40 days I’ve went into anaphylactic shock out of no where TWICE!!!

First time was in the evening after eating a bowl of ice cream, the ER, my OBGYN and my husband and I thought it was bc of the ice cream. Never been allergic before but know things can change especially with being pregnant with our 2nd. Everything has been going fine since then until this pass Saturday (Aug 22) I was at home sleeping and around 250 am my dog wakes me, to my surprise I’m itchy - hands and feet. Get up to look more closely and I’m completely covered in hives, my lips, tongue, and throat start to swell - I manage to take two Benadryl tablets - called my husband who is working out of state 6 hrs away to tell him I think it’s happening again - I get my baby girl up - grab my epiPen - the keys to the car and start driving myself to the ER (stupidest thing ever.) I end up giving myself my shot while driving - pull in to the ER put my car in park and was able to get helped by a security officer before I blacked out - they rush me in get me stable.

Both times this happened they ( the Doctors) don’t really know what’s bring it on.

So my questions

One has anyone else experienced this while pregnant out of no where or am I the only freak case?

Question two has anyone had where their body was rejecting the pregnancy like it was allergic to it because of the difference in blood types?

I’m O negative, my husband is B positive and out daughter we currently have is O positive. Is there anyway that my body is fight against this pregnancy?!

Help!!
