Do you feel bad for eating meat

I've never felt guilty lol. I'm from the south. We hunt and fish and are a fairly religious region. What we hunt, we thank God for and use everything with minimal waste to support our families. Any respectful hunter with or without the religious aspect are thankful for the life taken to support theirs.

Being vegetarian or pescatarian should be a poll option. 
I’m not strictly vegetarian but I eat meat very rarely. I don’t feel bad because when I tried to be strictly vegetarian I became severely anemic. Also I don’t buy meat myself so I don’t feel like I’m contributing to the industry. I just eat it if someone else makes dinner and it’s already there. I figure the damage is done, might as well eat the food.

Yeah. Sometimes I get these little flashbacks in my mind of 10th year biology a video showing how they kill chicks/chickens and instantly I lose all feelings of wanting to eat any meat.

Fish no. Chicken eh not really. Beef I feel super guilty! I still do every so often but I could honestly cut it out of my diet and be okay.

I started a vegetarian diet after I became pregnant in feb 2018. The main thing was the  thought of part of an animals body digesting in mine; it just really grossed me out, so I switched to meat alternatives. Now, for the last few months, when I see meat, I do automatically think of the torture of the animals when before i became vegetarian, I never had a second thought. I worked at a chicken production plant several years ago, and it was awful how the chickens feet were just slammed onto the belt things. When they reached my area, sometimes the machines didn’t cut the feet off, because their legs/toes/feet were broken. Sometimes they’d have this scrambled egg-like infection on their body that would be cut off but the rest of the chicken would still be sold. 😔

Depends 
I feel bad eating store bought chicken and beef where I have no idea how they are treated and what conditions they are in  
I try to get beef from my moms husband who is a farmer when available, I like getting it from him because I know his cattle is well cared for 
I have quail in my back yard that I’ve butchered and eaten and I do not feel bad because I’ve given them a good life 
I was a pescatarian for 3 years and I’m happy I’ve had that experience because it’s shown me many great recipes and many great ways to incorporate veggies into other recipes. It’s shown me to cut down meat and I didn’t need to eat as much as I had grown up eating. It also helped me take control of my diet and read labels. 
I think we often separate our food from what it is, and I think that helps us indulge in it when we don’t realize the sacrifice that goes into it 
And I think it’s good to recognize what your food and make yourself a part of the process, is you are more mindful of what you are actually eating

Sometimes. We mostly eat plant based foods though so I feel okay having meat once or twice a week.
