Had 3 diet cokes today - 8-9 weeks pregnant, will baby be okay?

I just took a pregnancy test and I’m pregnant. I waited awhile as my periods a few times have been late. I’m estimated 8 and a half weeks. I went out to lunch and had 3 diet cokes... I usually only have one with dinner a few days a week. Is this okay??

It’s okay, but don’t make a habit out of it! A can a few times a week is fine, just not three every night.

Whenever you're pregnant you're not supposed to ingest anything that is sugar free or diet. The chemicals in those types of products can be harmful. You should be fine but just a heads up for the rest of your pregnancy! I didn't know I was pregnant and was drinking monsters at work the first 3-4 weeks.

I'd avoid any diet soda. I used to drink it and stopped when I got pregnant. The chemicals really aren't good

A 12 oz can usually has about 45 mg of caffeine but glasses can vary by restaurant so I’m. It sure how much each one was. But you want to try and stay under 200mg of caffeine per day, don’t stress over it, it’s done now. Try to get more water in you’re probably thirsty and that’s likely why you had 3 instead of your usual 1! Baby should be fine but remember besides coffee and soda a lot of things can have some caffeine in them so you want to try and limit it as best you can but you’re definitely fine having caffeine!
