I’m prolly gonna sound like a weirdo, but they both feel pretty good to me! I feel like for me it’s more like where you get the tattoo that makes it hurt. if I got one on my elbow, def would hurt.

It depends on the artist! A lot go deeper with the outline than the shading

Honestly to me they both feel good. For years I suffered with self harm and when I get my feeling I get a tattoo! It release so much in me that it soothes me almost but everybody is different and when I’ve heard others talk of it they’ve said shading hurts more

I think the outline actually hurts worse. Though I think the overall pain after getting tattood for hours also sucks. So after so long of the shading your body is just like sore and tired of the pain. Though I've also never seperated the 2. So not sure how shading would feel at a 2nd appointment after the outline has healed.

I just got my first one and only had line work done and i ended up tapping out..so I'm wondering if the shading is going to be worse or not as bad.
I know it depends on personal prefrence but I'm jw what the majority says. Ty
