Has he gained too much weight?

I have been exclusively breastfeeding my baby was born 6 pounds 13 ounces and he is now 12 pounds and just over 4 weeks. Is he gaining to much weight? Is this bad? Or good? He also never lost weight after birth. His next appointment is in a few weeks. He loves to eat!

You can’t over feed a breastfed baby (when fed at the breast).  All of my breastfed babies chunked up really fast but then slowed down and thinned out

Just keep feeding on demand and letting him decide when he is full. He is super cute congratulations!

Can’t overfeed from the breast! My son was huge to begin with at 9 1/2lbs. But by a month he weighed  14 lbs. Got up to 22lbs at 9 months. Once he started walking he slimmed down. Now at 2 he weighs 32lbs and is 37” tall.

It's quite very difficult to overfeed a baby by nursing. Talk to your pediatrician if you're worried but I wouldn't be concerned. If you're doing weight measurements at home you can check the measurements against growth charts (make sure you look up "breastfed babies growth chart").
