4 day old waking every hour to eat. What do I do??

This is why I wish newborns came with instruction manuals😂😅☹️ My son for the past 6-7 hours has been waking up every hour to eat. He’ll eat anywhere from 1-1.75 oz. Earlier this morning, he ate a good 3 oz and slept for 4 hours. I’m not sure what I am doing wrong. He falls asleep after the ounce he drinks and is up literally like clockwork every hour. The nurses at the hospital said he should eat every 3-4 hours and he shouldn’t even be eating 2 oz until he’s 2 weeks old. What am I doing wrong??? Help!
