Cradle cap help!

My baby is 8 weeks old and has HORRIBLE cradle cap. It’s the entire back of his head and sides. It’s been there since 6 weeks. I’ve tried everything. Baby oil overnight, Aquaphor shampoo, I brush with a cradle cap brush daily and all the flakes come off and then the next day it’s back! It hasn’t gotten any better. Should I just leave it alone? He had it on his eyebrows and aquaphor lotion made it go away overnight. I just can’t seem to help his scalp at all!
