Dye Test and Laparoscopy Surgery

Hi ladies,

My hubs and I have been trying to conceive for three years after a miscarriage. I had an AMH test done almost a year ago with favorable results. My doctor said to keep on trying. I have to mention, I have 3 kids and I’m 43 years old. Like I said, I have been trying with no natural luck. I told my doctor to check further if there’s is anything else keeping me from achieving it. He checked my AMH again and did a vaginal sonogram. Both tests came back favorably. He mentioned a dye test to see if there may be a blockage in my tubes and if so, a Laparoscopic surgery would follow. Long story short, the surgery coordinator called me to let me know of what to expect from surgery and costs and she mentioned that the surgery would resemble a C-Section. My questions here are, has anyone had gone thru this in order to conceive? If so, could you please help me understand the extent of these procedures, steps etc., to be able to get pregnant?
