Drinking before I knew I was pregnant? Could it hurt the baby?

So I just found out I’m pregnant today. My period was 3 days late so I took a test. I have been drinking pretty heavily the last couple weeks. I keep getting mixed information. Some says it won’t effect the baby at this stage and some say this stage will have the worse effect on the baby.

Nobody can answer this with accuracy because no one knows how it affected your baby. Odds are, that baby is perfectly fine though.

As an L&D nurse your are fine like a comment below your placenta isn’t developed yet and that is what is use to cross over to baby.

Totally fine as long as you stopped after your first positive test. My son was conceived over New Years and I was drinking very heavily, then we had our anniversary a week later and we went wine tasting so I was super intoxicated 😬 My son is almost 3 now and perfect.
