Casper Sterling ⭐🌠

Koda

At 41+3 I had been in prodromal labor for about two days, having contractions that rarely ever stopped but weren't regular, and having a steady flow of mucusy discharge.

Husband and I were up late at night timing contractions. They started getting so intense I could hardly stand them, but they still weren't nearly as intense when standing and weren't regular. But something was telling me to go in anyway.

We woke up our four year old and got their stuff together, drove them to their Noni's house and dropped them off, and headed to the hospital. Once my sweet little one was out of the car I was free to yell through my contractions, that's how intense they were.

We arrived at the hospital at about 1:30 AM. While in triage I told the nurse I felt like I was bearing down with my contractions. They hadn't even gotten through the usual triage process and started rushing quite a bit. With my first check I was 5-6cm dilated. I was rushed to a delivery room.

By the time we were in the delivery room I was 9 cm and having the hardest time not pushing. I had planned on having an epidural but there was no time. Once I was given the go ahead I only pushed for about 15 minutes, and Casper Sterling was born at 3:29 AM. 8 pounds, 11 ounces. No tears. No medication.

And afterwards, no pain! Perfectly healthy baby with no prenatal care, and I'm already up on my feet, so much easier than my first.
