Help! We are having twin boys and our favorite names are Fisher Lee Y. and Samuel/Shepherd Robert Y. But that makes their initials FLY and SRY. Should we change the names for the initials to be more equally ‘cool’ or meaningful?

Keep them! My daughter is LLC and her sister is AMC. Both are initials for something else, oh well!? Remember someone out there is walking around with the name blanket..... It could be worse.

I’d probably change Robert to something that would give the S twin cooler initials. FLY is just so cool that it’d feel a bit unfair to me.
Maybe SPY or SLY or SKY.

I think initials CAN be important but not in this case. If your kid's initials would be something awful like ASS, KKK, BUTT, CUM, etc. Then maybe change that 😅 but FLY and SRY aren't that bad at all

Keep the names you like. Don’t worry about the initials. I wanted my son to have my husbands initials so they were important to me. My brother wanted a son with initials that spelled something that could be his nickname so they were also important to him. It doesn’t seem like you’re purposefully going for something like that so i wouldn’t change them

Our son's initials are DDE and my MIL said "but then his initials will be ded"....??? Which i thought was stupid.. She meant like on decals the last initial goes in the middle and is generally bigger than the two other letters. I wouldnt worry about it.

Lmao that’s great! Domt change their names off of something small though, or what ANYONE says! I have twin boys Easton & Weston & constantly got harassed before they were born about it. I still get the “oh like east and west” jokes but hey I love their names and I think they fit them perfectly! 🤷🏻‍♀️
