They shouldn’t have to ask for permission, but they should say, “hey I’m going out” or say where they’re going. I think I’d be protective of my bf/hubby so I’d want to know lol. But he didn’t have to ask me for permission.

Not necessarily permission as in "mother may i" but it's a show of respect for the other person to make certain that there are no plans they had in mind before making arrangements without them. It's also just common courtesy to tell them where you will be and where you are going.

He doesn’t have to ask permission but it’s a respect thing when he asks if I am okay with it. And I do the same for him.

No ask for permission but obviously just to let me know where they are going or that they were going out just incase for emergencies.. No one should have to ask for permission to go out once they are adults
