SIUGR

Rachel

Can anyone share experiences with SIUGR? We are having identical girls and we’re just about 19 weeks along now. Babies have always been small and Baby A always smaller than B, but at our last US Baby A was in 7th percentile which increased the MFM level of concern. We’re now moving into weekly US/monitoring going forward. It seems there’s nothing I can do to influence weight/growth/nutrition because it all had to do with how the umbilical cord placed at the placenta from early on and Baby A isn’t as well positioned for nutrients from the placenta. It’s so frustrating to feel powerless to help fix a problem, and there’s also not a whole lot of information about this online that isn’t scary stories about stillbirth of one or needing to deliver both babies super early to try to give both the best chance. Anyone else going through this or been through this with a positive outcome?
