When to tell employer about pregnancy

If you already have, when did you? If not, when are you planning? I'm 14 weeks today and I work from home. Other than just putting it out there, I really can't see any reason to tell yet. Curious to hear others opinions.

I told them at 5 weeks because I’m an essential worker so I’ve been at work. But if was so sick 5-9 weeks I had to tell them so they didn’t think I had COVID

I am fully remote as well... they can’t see my growing bump and getting to doctors appointments haven’t been a problem, so I plan to tell them around the 6 months. My thought is the closer I am to the finish line the better I will be able to plan and support who will cover my role and how they will do it while I’m out. While it makes me a little nervous to wait so long, the reality is with a fully remote position, If they ever need me for anything - I can easily hop online, so it doesn’t need to be a “true maternity leave.”

I’m 100% remote and plan on telling my boss in my 3rd trimester. I’m currently in my second and have some weeks to go. My job is pretty flexible so I’m able to go for appointments between working hours.

I told mine at 12 weeks. I’m a teacher and will need a long term sub, and they like to have time to get that set up. However, with COVID and I got put on the virtual team, who even knows how that will work.

I told HR at 15 weeks and plan to tell my direct supervisor at 18 weeks just because of timing of scans and vacations. Not looking forward to that convo.

I told mine around 14 weeks. I'm also working from home and they keep dragging their feet in telling us when we're going back so I wanted to tell him I wasn't comfortable returning to the office. My boss and team are in different states so there wouldn't be anyone to see me visibly pregnant so it was going to have to be an awkward random topic throw in regardless.

I told mine at 6 weeks, I was on loa and had to extend until I was 12 weeks, also I work at target and lift freight, and can’t lift certain things.

I ended up telling mine just before 13 weeks due to needing to move things at 14 weeks at my job. I was planning on waiting another couple of weeks.
