Is this rude of me?

Sooo... basically it’s the last weekend of the summer for me and my bf and I are trying to decide what to do. We have been dating eight months and since COVID hit, we weren’t able to really go on any dates. Two weeks ago, it was my bday and we were supposed to go to a fancy dinner but it rained so we skipped it and cooked instead. I feel really rude asking if we could go on a date but I really want to. Idk why my bf doesn’t think of it esp since he knows I love romantic dates and stuff. He hasn’t taken me out since we first started dating. :/ Is it rude of me to ask? Is this a valid concern that I have that my bf doesn’t think to take my out anymore? Or am I being bratty?? I really don’t care about money. I’ll pay for the dinner Idc.
