What causes a chemical pregnancy and how common are they?

I had a chemical after doing an ivf transfer. However my blastocyst was pgs tested it was 100% normal no chromosomal abnormalities but for some reason she didnt implant my lining was perfect as its monitored by ultrasound and i was on medication to make sure it was thick enough but it was just something that happened. They said she just didnt fully impant so i had positive test and as the days went on my test started to get lighter by the time i went for my bloodwork it was completely negative.

Basically a blastocyst triggers the production of HCG due to a chemical reaction between in and the uterine lining but never implants. This could be due to chromosomal abnormalities in the blastocyst or issues with the uterine lining. The blastocyst then dies and exists the body, the hormones/chemicals dissipate, and your period comes. It happens very often. This is why it’s recommended you don’t take a test until after you miss your period, as this typically happens around week 3 of your cycle. Most women never know it’s happened.
