Dilation ???

So I’m 36.2 weeks & im JW if when I have Braxton Hicks ... do they dilate you at all or am I still to early for this??? If not... than when do they start to??

From what I’ve heard, the don’t dilate you. I think your body just does or doesn’t start to dilate. My doctor told me it doesn’t necessarily mean anything. Real contractions are supposed to dilate. I had contractions the other day though that did nothing, but I was already dilated 3.5. I’ve been having Braxton Hicks since 20 weeks.
