If you made six figures, would you care if your husband was a stay at home dad?

I would encourage it, if it’s something he wanted to do. If one of us made more than enough money, then there’s no reason to make both of us work unless we both WANTED to work.

My husband and I agreed once I'm done with college and get a good job, he can do online classes for college and be a stay at home dad if we have kids.

I said yes but thats only because I know who I married lol. He'd be on video games all day and although he takes good care of the kids, he would never clean 😩 Being a sahd is not for him!

I’d rather someone stay home with our kids instead of daycare. So I wouldn’t mind if he stayed home while I worked if I were making more. I currently am staying home & sacrificing working to stay home with my daughter & baby #2 that I’m currently pregnant with while he works. Although I am studying for my GED while I am home. He’s the type of guy though that believes the man should support his family so I don’t see him staying home regardless if I made more or not, he tells me if he didn’t work that he’d feel useless as a man.

I meant to put no! I make double my husband so since 4 months my husband has stayed home with baby while I work. It works for us, #1 we do not want to have baby in daycare at all, we tried it and had a horrible experience, #2 the cost of daycare. Why work just to pay for daycare? I’m expecting number 2 and the plan is the same! He will take care of baby again. Oh and he works in the afternoons, I come home and take over baby’s care while he does his thing in the evenings. Win win!

I wouldn't mind at all. My husband has long days in between his shifts and when he's home, he does housework, makes dinner and has our daughter to take care of as well. I work 5-6 days a week. As long as he continued this, I seriously wouldn't mind at all cause everything he does is a tremendous help to me!

If it was really what he wanted and he had some type of at home side gig(which I know my husband would) he could stay home. If he wasn’t doing anything at all, not a chance I’d be okay with him being a stay at home dad. I’m a firm believer that both people in a relationship need to financially contribute.

If I made that much and he wanted to stay home with the children then heck yeah I would.  There is no better babysitter than the child's father.
