So I am at my WITS END! I have had this INSANE itching on my vagina (ON, not in) by my lips and a little bit on the top surface for nearly 5 flippin MONTHS! I called an OBGYN for a virtual consultation (back in the beginning of COVID before offices were open again). She was a new Dr. on my new job’s INS plan and suggested Hydrocortisone and Vagasil to use when it itches (which is mainly at night). I did that for nearly a month and it still itches. Then in May I went to the PlannedParenthood OBGYN (bc I had since lost my job/INS) and was given an exam and antibiotic (1 pill) for a yeast infection. A month later it still hadn’t stopped. Beginning of July I went back and she still found traces of a yeast infection so she gave me 2 more antibiotic pills and said if it continues go see a specialist derma OBG.

The itching hasn’t stopped and now it’s painful (almost like chapped lips/skin) and will even crack and bleed a little sometimes when I itch too much. Also, after the itching gets crazy I’ll sometimes have this flakiness (almost like your peeling sunburn skin). Theres also now this red irritated outline (almost like a rash) around the outer perimeter of my vagina along the entire area where the itching constantly is. I believe my skin is getting tougher and irritated from the hydrocortisone (as I don’t think it’s to be used long term), which is in turn creating the redness and even dried skin that cracks; so I’ve stopped using that and will only use the Vagasil when itchy. Applying a dry wet cloth to ease the pain helps but also stings the open cuts bc it’s not a solution, just a bandaid. It’s taking FOREVER to get a hold of a specialist dermatologist and their availability isn’t for WEEKS.

I use hypoallergenic detergent for my clothes, I’ve tried not shaving incase the razor started the irritation, I’ve not used soap or body wash down there/then eventually switched brands once I started again, I’ve worn underwear when I workout (where as usually I don’t) incase the pants irritated my skin more/then I don’t wear underwear when I’m home just walking around in loose shorts to let her breathe, I’ve changed routines so many times and nothing seems to be helping!

I lie awake at night crying because the irritation/itching is so intense, and wake up when the eventual pain sets in from my skin cracking and bleeding.

COVIDs already ruining my sex life, I can’t have her in pain or discomfort when I finally set her free again!!! So for more reason then one I’m dying for a solution! But mainly I don’t want to be in pain and need my undisturbed beauty sleep again!!!

Has anyone had experience with this before? Or know what the hell it could possibly be? Or how to fix the RIDICULOUS itching and dried skin? ANY advice or insight is greatly appreciated!
