When is everyone telling family?

I'm super back and forth about when to tell my family. With my first, we told everyone at 5 weeks because we were so excited. Last month I had a chemical and that's how I ended up telling my mom I was pregnant and that we were trying. She had no idea. That was extremely hard for me. I'm super confident this baby will stick, but I'm also super nervous to tell anyone. So, when are you all telling others?

We kind of tell people in “waves” if that makes sense 😂 I have a 2 year old and prior to that pregnancy I had 3 miscarriages, so I was wary of telling people too soon, but always told my partner, mom, and best friend as early as 4-6 weeks every time. I felt like it was important to have a close trusted circle of people I would feel comfortable talking about any outcome with. That’s definitely not for everyone of course and do what feels comfortable for you! I’m super early right now but have already told my best friend, because I know myself and know I’ll want the outlet to chat about my excitement or worries with while we wait to tell others. With my son we told the rest of our parents and siblings around 10 ish weeks and told extended family around 20. Do whatever you feel comfortable with!

I miscarried in march and am 5 weeks now, ill be waiting to tell family and others when i get a ultrasound and actually see a baby in there or after my first trimester depending how long i can

I live in Boston and my parents and sister live in philly.  I already have a trip planned to take my kids to visit in two weeks- I’ll be 6 weeks and will tell them then.  My sister is 6 months Pregnant and it could end up being the only time we are ever together pregnant since this will be my last and is her first so I’m super excited for that!

I’m very sorry to hear you went through that last month 😔 
We told our close family (parents, in-laws, my brother) with our first at ~6 weeks, but we told them on Christmas Eve so we would have done sooner/later in order to do it that day. 
With this one, we are going to tell our parents later this coming week, so will be 5 weeks or so. I want to be able to have someone to talk to as I begin having more symptoms. I never really understood waiting though... don’t we need our loved ones support no matter what?

We told my parents and siblings as soon as we found out. I had two miscarriages and I had to tell them I was pregnant and lost the baby in the same conversation. That was hard. I’d rather tell them early and if we run into problems again, I can talk with them about easier.

With my first 2 pregnancies I tell my mom right away and then the rest of my family and my husbands family at 12 weeks

My partner already told his family the day we found out (I was like 3 weeks!) but I’m waiting to tell my parents. Maybe a couple months. My parents are super old school so I don’t want the unnecessary stress from them since I’m not married.

I had a similar story... I was pregnant with a surprised baby in February and ended up telling my mum about it when I miscarried 2 weeks after finding out. This week I had a BFP and we were sooo happy that we told our parents this week-end at 4weeks.

Immediate family we will tell after our 1st appointment, so around 7 weeks. Everyone else i will tell after the second appt, around 11 weeks.
