Different EDD on latest US?

Question

So my due date has been October 21 all along (well since dating scan) and we had a 30 week scan that said expectes date of delivery to be October 11?! Anyone have this happen to them? Did you change your due date because of it? My doctor didn’t say anything about it so I’m assuming I continue with October 21? 
I am mostly wondering for maternity leave. I know babies tend to come when they want 🥰

Earlier ultrasounds are more accurate. Unless doctor said it was changed, most OBs don’t adjust due date based upon EDD from later ultrasounds. (Although some may induce early if they think baby will be too big)

My ultrasounds have always dated at least a week ahead, but they wouldn’t change my due date! Hoping he just comes early 🤞🏼

My oldest daughter measured 2 weeks ahead consistently 20 weeks and on. We never changed our due date and I ended up going into labor on her due date! Same thing with my second baby, she was small though. Diagnosed with IUGR. Edd still stayed the same just actual day of induction didn’t. Babes all grow at different paces in the second half so I would stick with your original EDD.

My sister in law’s due date was moved from August 28th to August 21st and she’s still pregnant she’s having contractions as I type this

My first measured weeks ahead at the end and did actually come 10 days early! I swear that baby wasn't actually early - 9 pounds 7 ounces!

Usually with a weeks difference the Obgyn will change it mine does , my sons due date was August 31st , they told me at my second ultrasound it changed to September 13th my son came August 19th you know best momma

According to my last ultrasound and baby’s growth, my updated due date would be 9/7...I’m originally due 10/4...lol. Doctor is it changing it but they’re also not talking about C section or induction yet either..

They normally wouldn’t change due date this late in a pregnancy. At this point babies grow at different rates, so it’s not accurate to establish a due date. The best time to do an ultrasound and establish due date is between 8-12 weeks.
