Needing some insight - just starting IUI
Hi everyone. :) My husband and I have been trying for a couple years now with only an ectopic (caught early and terminated) and miscarriage. (This has turned into a long post, so I apologize and ty in advance if you get thru it)
Anyway, we finally got into a fertility specialist in Feb, but covid hit it and delayed us for several months. This is now the third cycle, with still no follicles when they're supposed to be there, so she tells me about some other options and says, "Pay attention to your body, see if you can tell when you're ovulating". Cool cool, I'm pretty upset at this point but about a week or so later I kinda felt some cramping, called her, got in the next day for a sono and she confirmed it was likely ov and to go home, have sex. Gives me a schedule to start progesterone and test.
After all that, test day hits and it's neg. I'm upset buy honestly not shocked. The next week (which is now about 2 weeks ago), my boobs were so sore it hurt to put on a bra or dry off from a shower. I even kept feeling queasy every time I ate...so I decided what the hell, take another test (neg).
At this point I'm thinking the soreness and tummy upset are just side effects from the progesterone... This is the first time I've used it so I'm not sure what is "normal" or to be expected. Can anyone share their experience with using it? I know everyone reacts differently, but it would be nice to hear other's thoughts/feelings.
