Baby’s Nursing Frustration

Mikaylah

Since starting back to work about a month ago it’s been very hard to nurse my baby in the evenings. She’s not awake enough to care at night so right now it’s just the 3ish feeds after I get off work that are almost impossible. Basically- milk flows constantly from a bottle but takes more effort from the boob. She is 16 weeks today and we still use the stage 1 Dr Browns nipple because she’s never fussed or had any issues with it. She drinks the initial milk no problem, but then becomes literally SO angry that it hasn’t let down immediately again and flails/screams/hits/kicks everywhere. She’s absolutely fine while milk is flowing, but the second she has to wait a minute for it she’s done and I know she’s still hungry. I’ve tried calming her and then trying again, but she continues the same thing in this viscous loop. Anyone have any advice or tips for how to re-teach her to be patient while nursing?

Ps I want to throw every single bottle we have in the trash because they’ve ruined our nursing experience....but obviously I know she needs them while I’m at work.
