True colic has unknown causes and is not caused by food allergies or anything known yet. By definition, it gets better around 4 months. My daughter magically woke up one morning at around 3 months  and was 100% better. She slept for the first time most of the night. She was fussier than most babies even after the colic, but it was manageable compared to the 3 months of non-stop crying. If you are going through this, time will make it better. You will sleep someday. Take time for yourself and remember some babies have it for an unknown reason and it will get better.
