Hiccups Dangerous ?

I’m 32w 3days and I’ve been noticing my baby having the hiccups very frequently lately. I read up on it and it said it could be a sign that the umbilical cord is compressed ? Has anyone heard of this?

I haven't heard that. I've heard hiccups are the baby practicing their breathing and it becomes more common the further on you are. If you're worried though, definitely ask your doctor!

I see a lot of people worried about the hiccups but honestly I think it’s quite normal for them to hiccup a lot. My daughter (now 21 months) had them multiple times a day. 🙂

I also read this. I’m 33+4 and the hiccups only just started 3 days ago. Thankfully from what I’ve noticed it has only been once a day. I see my OB tomorrow so will mention it to her.

Yes, it’s a newly recognized sign, not many doctors follow or know this

Nope never heard of it, my first pregnancy my baby had the hiccups 5-6 times a day, this pregnancy baby has the hiccups a few times a day, I’ve never had a midwife or ob or mfm specialist asks about it when either baby has had hiccups at appointments.
