Introducing butter/Spices to baby?

My LO is 8 months old EBF, I make all her purées and solid food , I’m just wondering do you all mix butter in their food? And how about spices I’m afraid of a reaction so I haven’t tried yet.

When my kids transitioned to solid food they would get whatever I cooked and I cook with spices. So they would try different things. Sauces as well but not at 8 months. Around that age I would do only mashed potatoes and sides like veggies that’s it.

I've never added butter to our son's food. Or at least not if it wasn't called for in the recipe. I've never heard of anyone doing that either. We've just given him portions of whatever we're eating so he's ended up having all kinds or seasonings and spices.
