Anyone else have a difficult baby??!

Question

This is my third baby and none of my other kids have been like this I feel like this is never going to end! He only wants to sleep in my arms so during the day I let him because as soon as I put him down he starts crying. When hes awake and wants to sleep I have to bounce him the whole time. He won't stay in a swing I've tried that. At bed time I start trying to put him down at like 9 and don't actually succeed til about 1am. Hes fussing the whole time or it consists of me laying him down and him waking back up. Ive tried swaddling doesnt help ive tried white noise and no noise, doesnt help. Hes mostly breastfed but ill also give him formula once in awhile. Once hes asleep at night he'll only sleep an hour or 2 at a time. Ive given him formula before bed to see if that helps him sleep longer and it doesnt make a difference. My husband cant hold him for long because he just cries nonstop and im the only one that can calm him by feeding him. He hates car rides, as soon as he goes in the car seat he starts crying and will cry the whole car ride however long that ride is! I feel like its never going to end and he's just going to stay difficult! Anyone else going through anything like this or have any suggestions on what I can try to see if it helps. I've tried gripe water thinking maybe he was colicky and he won't take a pacifier, he can be difficult with a bottle too. 😭

Try talking to your pediatrician. We had to switch LO’s formula and she’s doing a little better. When she’s screaming her head off her dad is the only one that can calm her down. Hope things get better for you and your LO

My first was like this. It is miserable and overwhelming and exhausting. I feel for all of you ladies. I wore her in a carrier a lot throughout the day, and that helped me get some things done, at least. She got progressively happier and happier the more she could move on her own, and by 7mo she was pulling up to stand and sleeping 10 hours a night.

Omg I was literally just about to write about the same thing 😩😩😩 this is my third and my other two were difficult as well and I was really hoping for a break 😩. If she’s not eating or sleeping she’s screaming. I already cut out dairy so now I’m going to cut our soy. I can’t put her down for a second awake and she fights sleep like no other. I’ve been doing the cara sleeps method and it’s not working at all. I’m so exhausted mentally from the crying.

That was how my first baby was. I went from wanting 3-4 kids to settling with just 2. It was horrible. And to hear from everyone else how easy their babies were made it even worse. I’m so happy this one is different.

Maybe its the milk? Something your eating is probably causing gas/colic or the formula  he drinks might have to be changed. My baby is formula fed and he was very fussy and wouldn’t sleep doctor changed his milk and it helped a lot.

This sounds like my daughter nearly to the T. I’ve cut dairy and caffeine out of my diet and it’s seemed to help at least a little. The best success we’ve had is a Konny wrap. She’s instantly asleep once in it so we use it a lot to have something of a break from the crying.

My first was like this. I cut out dairy and she was a happy baby. She was never comfortable. May be something to discuss with his pediatrician. Hope this helps!
