Refusing 2nd nap?

Any one else’s baby just start refusing the 2nd nap at 9.5 months old? Why?

There’s a big nap regression at 10 months. Somedays we get our usual hour plus somedays not. You might have to adjust wake times by 15 minutes.

Yes my boy did but our only lasted a few days. I related it to teething/growth spurt  but I’m not sure.

We're in the middle of transitioning to one nap. For the last couple months he did 2 naps, each for about an hour and half (so a total of 3 hours). Recently he started fighting his first nap, he would cry and take a long time to fall asleep or wouldn't sleep at all. I tried putting him down between the time of the 2 naps and it's been working pretty well. He used to nap around 10:30/11 and then again around 3/3:30. The past couple days he's been napping around 12:30 and sleeping for 2.5 hours.

Wonder weeks! Check them out. They have growth spurts and will outgrow that 2nd nap just as they outgrew the 3rd nap. By 12 months they should be down to only 1.

My girl did this for a bit, sleep regression, but she went back to 2 naps after about a week or two of struggling

Yup, just within the past couple days. It seems like she’s moving more towards taking one midday nap that lasts about the same total time when she was doing two naps a day. We’re just rolling with it.
