Does anyone do PIO in their ventrogluteal muscle?

I think I'm gonna try it out tonight my nurse marked the spot for me but I was still hesitant because it's a small target. From what I'm reading it seems like a safer spot to self inject. Wondering if anyone else is doing it?

Update: I did it and it was fine I had no bleeding which is great.

That’s were I’m doing it too.  I did it once in my thigh.  IM NEVER DOING THAT AGAIN.

Yeah thats where you should be injecting. Injecting too low (dorso gluteal) can also make you sore, especially long term. The upper right quadrant is where you want to aim for. I've never had any ling term issues when injecting there. I do get a tad sore in the beginning but once I acclimate, im good.
