I suppose if someone would like to throw a crazy gender reveal party then that’s on them, but I don’t think I’d spend as much as I would on the baby shower.

I think the expectation is for the couple to pay for it, unless a family member or friend specifically offers. I personally didn't have one.

Me my mom and my dad all 3 chipped in on different things! I got the decor mom got desserts and drinks dad got the burgers and dogs and gramma got condiments and buns! Lol

I bought my sisters gender reveal ball and it was maybe $15. They paid for all the food and drinks. And I expect my sister to order my gender reveal surprise too

We did. For us the gender reveal was really just an extra party to celebrate baby with family and friends after 2 losses. So we went big! My best friend wanted to do the cake (which also meant she got to find out gender before the rest of us did lol) so I let her do that. She even got us a little surprise gift with gender specific items in it which was so awesome. But 100% of everything else was on us. For me it was totally worth it. Everyone had so much fun and a baby is always good to celebrate 💖

The doctor told my husband and I and we told family when we got home. So free and I wouldn’t change a thing. If we had done a gender reveal party we would have paid for it. I wouldn’t expect anyone else to.

We didn’t make a big deal out of it since I was having a baby shower so we just sent a text to immediate family members and had a cookout. So we paid for it.
