Brown spotting/discharge

I’m 10 weeks and 5 days pregnant. Never spotted or anything during pregnancy except today. Called my nurse as she said she doesn’t think I should be alarmed and only to go to the ER if I start to experience painful cramps and/or the blood turns red. Just want to know if anyone else experienced this before and was okay?
