Would you keep the sex of baby #2 a surprise?

Question

We are pregnant with #2! When I was pregnant with our first, we wanted a girl so so bad, and we got her! We found out around week 15. We both feel very 50/50 about what sex we would prefer this time around, so we’re considering not finding out. Have you done this? Would you?

We were team green with our first. It was hard in the beginning, but I’m so glad we toughed it out. Best surprise ever!

We found out with our first two but we are waiting this time! We have one of each and it’s our last so we figured we mise well just wait :) I’m 18 weeks and it’s been hard watching everyone in my group find out and shop for gender specific things but I think in the end it will be so worth it!! If I can make it half way what’s another half 😉

I didn't find out with my first and am 28 weeks with #2 and don't know what this one is either! It's fun not knowing but hearing everybody's guesses, the tiny baby clothes I have are all unisex because we didn't know last time either, and I have to buy new clothes regardless because my December baby is not going to be able to wear the same season clothes as my July baby did, even if they are the same gender. I refuse to commit to a name until I've actually met the baby (to each their own - I commend those that can pick one and stick with it,  I just can't!), so that didn't play into our decision to not find out either. I'm a big planner and really thought I would struggle, but I've been able to get the things I feel like I NEED in gender neutral colors and it really was pretty great to find out at birth. My husband was actually speechless! I've always said it's one of life's few GOOD surprises because either way it's a blessing, so I'll take the surprise.

My first was a surprise and I will do it that way if I have more. I loved the experience of meeting my son for the first time.

I have a daughter from a previous relationship and am TTC baby #2 right now. I would LOVE to keep my next baby a surprise. However my partner has no children so that would be his first and he’s said he would definitely like to know the gender, so I’ll find out for his sake. But I’ve made it very clear if we have a 3rd it’ll definitely be a surprise!

I feel like the baby is a big enough surprise..seeing what they look like and their personality. So I’ve never seen the point of waiting because what’s the difference?  But that’s just me.

I wouldn’t be able to do it... I just have this intense need to prepare everything lol

I’m planning to be surprised, I didn’t want to find out with my first but my husband insisted he needed to know so we found out... but didn’t tell anyone we knew. It was Fun! This time I actually want to be fully surprised, my husband wants to find out again but he’s promised he won’t share (or hold it over me hopefully). We’ll see how it goes, I’m excited tho!

Whenever we conceive baby #2 (currently TTC) I love the idea of this! But I am not good at keeping my own secrets hahaha. I am great with anyone else’s secrets, but I get too excited. I wish I had the willpower!
