HCG 10 days after a chemical pregnancy? tw: positive test

Hello. I hope this is allowed. 
I had a miscarriage that started 10 days ago- the doctor confirmed it but never took blood work. I was 5 weeks pregnant and had heavy bleeding for a week or so. It's been 10 days after the chemical pregnancy and my midday test is still pretty positive? How long until it drops?

I would ask your doctor to do at least 2 blood draws a few days apart just so you can figure out what’s going on and get the proper care

If they only did one ultrasound at 5 weeks and didn’t see anything that is not necessarily diagnostic of a miscarriage...your bleeding doesn’t sound reassuring, but they need to follow up! Its not impossible to still have a viable pregnancy. It’s also not impossible to have an ectopic pregnancy if you had bleeding and they didn’t see anything in your uterus.

10 weeks after a d&c my levels are at a 4 and I’m still getting positive pregnancy tests.😓

I think it’s different for everyone. I had a miscarriage in October and my hcg levels didn’t drop until almost two months later, but I read about other people that only took about 2 weeks.
