so i had found this picture last year and i fell in love with the color and have really wanted to do my hair since.

well i have been trying to get my hair done since march before things got real bad with COVID, and i found a stylist on base (im a navy wife), and she said she didnt have the orange in the picture but that we could find another color to use instead, and we agreed on purple.

yes she intentionally left the roots alone because the red she used was a direct dye and since i have natural red hair there was no point in bleaching my entire head only to put red back into my hair

and this was how it turned out after getting dried and styled

for some reason (we dont know why), the purples didnt show through as well as we had hoped/thought it would have, but i still absolutely LOVE my hair and it turned out great! although she said she doesnt really like how the red fades into the pink (looks kind of like a harsh line if you look at it just right), so shes going to try and get me in next week to try a different color for the roots... but considering this was the first time i have ever done something this big, it turned out great and i absolutely love it!
