New bed waterproofing?!

Ok so I’m getting a new bed this weekend and I’m like omg should I wait until after baby incase my water breaks while I’m lying in?! Or is there like a mattress pad I can put under my sheets?! I know waters don’t always break but omg just my luck it would happen to me 😭😂

There are great matress covers that keep anything wet from going through! I recommend even if your water doesn't break, if your boobs leak, if your kid spits up or pees in your bed. Lol not something I ever knew I needed before kids but now all beds in my house have them!

We have these two things. Mattress protector for everyday use and then the washable pads just in case water breaks or postpartum issues. They go under the flat sheet since I don’t like sleeping with it. I bought two packs of the pads so I could put some in the crib underneath the sheets. Both of these don’t crinkle like the puppy pads or other mattress enclosures.

I would get a mattress cover. I got mine on amazon and it’s amazing. Sometimes my 4 year old crawls in my bed and will have an accident here and there and never soaks to the mattress!

If you are on a budget, they have disposable pads to put on the bed. They are like puppy pee pads. Good for postpartum.

Definitely get a good mattress protector! Its good even to keep sweat or spills from marking your mattress! They have tons of options on amazon, just look for a waterproof one 😊
