My midwife today asked me if I’d be okay with student midwives being there for the birth of my baby as the hospital is a teaching hospital. I get that they have to learn somehow and any other regular doctors appointments etc. I’ve had students there but I said no for now (I’m sort of 50/50). It’s not just because they’re students but because I want as little amount of people as possible there whilst I’m trying to give birth and because it’s my first baby I’d feel more comfortable with just people with experience. I just want to know other peoples opinions and preferences?
