Hey ladies!

If my husband and I had a boy next, his first name would have to be James since all the first born males in his family have that name. I’m okay with that, but my husband hates the name “Jamie”, and that’s the only short form left.

So, I thought to use the name James as his first, but call him “Ezra” for his middle name. It would be after my grandpa. We were super close and I was by far his favourite. I cared for him a lot when he lived with us when I was a teenager.

I also found out my younger brother wants to use that name too, even though he wasn’t nearly as close with him and isn’t near ready for kids. So there’s potential for tension there.

I’m wondering if the name “James Ezra” sounds okay? I kind of like it, but I’m probably biased because I don’t want to fight. But, if need be I will. I never dig my heels in about anything.
