What to know and prepare for a D&C ?

I know the process although not by women to women only  by book. Please tell me about your experience and how you were able to try again tell me what’s it like afterwards and if there’s anything in particular I should know. I take my uterus as a precious thing were I hope to try again one day soon.

I don’t know if you’ve already had yours as I don’t see a date but here’s my experience incase someone else runs across this post:
Day of surgery I couldn’t eat or drink. I was scheduled to have surgery at 1pm. I slept in most of the day. I showered right before leaving. When we arrived we went to outpatient and luckily waiting rooms are closed so everyone had to wait in their car and they called when ready. Once we was ready and placed in our room the nurses came in and explained how the procedure worked and we gave them all the funeral home information as we was having our remains cremated after testing was done. Once everything was done and I was awake again I couldn’t leave till I used the bathroom. That hurt a bunch (I ended up getting septic from a uti) other than that I felt great. I took two days off work one day of surgery and the next day to mentally heal. We ended up going shopping the next day and walking all day. I felt great and only spotted. I wore a pantie liner the whole time. 
Before surgery my cervix was already dilated enough for the surgery, I lost quiet a bit of blood during surgery and our fetus was honestly ready to come out. We just wanted that testing done as we have had recurrent losses.

My experience was it was a long day, I was scheduled for surgery at a hospital and there were a few emergency surgeries that came in and so I had to wait. 
I was also in the same waiting room as women who were waiting for their c-sections, which wasn’t great. 
The process was quick, the doctors and nurses were all amazing and I felt fine after, especially after I had some food. 
I didn’t bleed much at all after, they said I lost quite a lot of blood during the surgery, so I think there was nothing left. So just a bit of spotting. 
My husband was very surprised at what I was like after. I felt good, but then overdid  it a bit 4 days later and had to give myself a day on the couch. After that I felt great and back to normal. 
I had some random brown spotting 2 weeks after and got my period 4 weeks 1 day after surgery. 
I thought it was much better than what I had imagined. I have been drinking raspberry leaf tea to help my uterus recover and massaging clary sage to help with fertility when I try to conceive again.

I had my D&C on August 11th. I was scheduled early in the morning at 7am which was nice because you can’t eat or drink for so many hours before the procedure. My husband said the procedure was really quick, like 30 minutes or so. The day of procedure I was very out of it, I slept and stayed in bed all day. I was pretty groggy for a couple days after as well. I barely bled the day of and then the next 2 days after I only spotted. Days 4-6 I bled very heavily with lots of clots. After that I spotted off and on for a little over 2 weeks. I just got my first positive ovulation test on September 11th so I should be getting my period on the 25th. So it will be 6 1/2 weeks from when I had my D&C to when I’ll get my first period. We had to do IUI to get pregnant and my doctor said we can do another IUI with this next period. 
Also, my baby stopped growing at 10 weeks and I had my IUI at what would have been 11 weeks 1 day.
