Mom Rant

My mom has been allowed around my child, but she has to wear a mask. Tonight went horribly.

It was my first day back at work and our AC went out yesterday. We live in South Texas. It is HOT. Anyway, we have a unit for our room, but nothing for the living room so she brought us a unit they have. I mention work because I'm exhausted.

She picked up my daughter without a mask, so I asked if she forgot hers when I realized she didn't have one. While holding my child, she told me she was fine with her not having a mask. She then questioned if I made everyone wear a mask (all grandparents). She also said do I have to wear one forever to hold my fing grandchild?

I was so taken aback. This is the first "favor" she has done since Addison was born. I cant help but wonder if that's where her sudden mask aversion came from.
