Period clots or fetal/placenta tissue TMI

My cycle came 5 days early (according to my app) last month it was 6 days early. As I got up i felt the need to cough and felt a gush of blood and when i went to the bathroom i noticed a huge clot in the toilet. I kept looking at it because it didn’t look normal. I got a glove and fished it out of the toilet and it was huge! I touched it and it didn’t break apart or anything so I’m not sure if I’ve just had a miscarriage or if i passed a clot.
