What is a healthy ammount to have acrylic nails?

I do my own nails with acrylic sometimes..im just wondering how long you can have nails on before it starts to damage your real nails?
Obviously they need a break sometimes. But idk how many weeks i can keep putting them on?
Maybe 3 weeks on 1 week off ??

I get mine done every two weeks and take breaks when I feel like it bc they’re damaged regardless but that’s just me. If you’re worried about infections or something maybe the 3-1 would work.

2 or 3 weeks is usually how long I have mine on before getting them on. I’m about to get some white acrylics done an just thinking about leaving them on for 2 weeks

As long as you are prepping them correctly, your nails will remain healthy. Nails don’t need to breathe. You can continue to do fill after fill and be fine. 
I’m a licensed nail technician. If you are performing the proper prep, you never need to remove the set unless there is product break down or extreme lifting. Then you just properly remove it, and reapply. 
Quality product, quality/proper prep equals healthy natural nails.

I’m pretty sure it damages them the first time. When I take mine off even after the first time they’re always super damaged
