I married my husband this year, we have not planned a vacation or honey moon anywhere because of COVID. I always ask him if we could travel because I feel that we can be safe by following standard precautions, but he refuses to go.

This week, he got news his grandpa had a brain hemorrhage. Grandpa is in Puerto Rico & is now recovering. His mom wants to plan a family trip to see him during Thanksgiving to spend more time with him. So they will be going Nov 24-28. I can’t go because I am unable to take off work so I’ll be alone.

I understand family is very important and he has a valid reason in going to spend time with his family. I need tips to not become selfish at the situation.
