Normal postpartum bleeding or concern?

Question

I gave birth vaginally Saturday the 19th. I did have a second degree tear and have top and bottom stitches.
Day one and two I bleed a ton and the last two days it has gotten less but it’s still bright red and I just passed a blood clot the size of maybe two quarters? 
After researching it says I shouldn’t still have bright red blood? And clots may be an issue?

i just had my second the same day, also a tear, and bleeding has lessened like you described but some brighter red small clots still coming out, so it’s normal. 
with my first, i had a tear and bled for a much longer time (like almost 6 weeks).

I had bright red bleeding for a week before it tapered off. It was heavy the 1st 2 days but then was more like a period flow. I can’t remember exactly what I was told but I want to say that they said if I soaked more than 1 pad within a certain amount of time to come in. I’m 3wks pp and still have some spotting.

Your bleeding will last awhile. Most doctors say clots are normal unless they are the size of an egg or more. I bled with my first for 2 weeks If I remember correctly.

I had a second degree tear as well with 3 stitches. I bleed red for about the first week with the occasional blood clot. Each day was getting less and less blood tho, second week was when it noticeably started going to brownish blood but not much, my baby is 2 weeks now and practically no blood at all
