Which side is car seat going on?

As a FTM, I’m not sure which side I should put babies car seat on. I see pros for both sides, but want to see what others think!

If it’s possible, put it in the middle. You can always get a mirror that attaches to the back of the seat so you can always see the baby when in the car. If you can’t put the car seat in the middle then I’d go for behind the driver seat!

The safest side is wherever you can get a proper install! Read your car manual and the car seat manual. Not every seat will fit in the middle. My husband's middle seat is like 4 inches shorter than the the sides so we can't install a car seat there

The middle is not always best! We take our cars to our specific dealership and have a certified carseat installer do it based on our car model. Its free and makes me feel a lot better. With our first son we had him in the middle of our camry and it turned out that it was very incorrect and was switched to the passanger side.

She’ll be behind the driver’s seat since I don’t drive so I’m always in the passenger so if I have to give her pacifier back or something I can reach her easier. If you only have one car seat it is better to have them in the middle, but if you have more than one then that’s not necessarily possible

When I couldnt get the seat in the middle position I put my first on the passenger side so I could see her better and get her out on the sidewalk side when parked along the street were the biggest reasons, now that we have 2 my first is behind the driver and my 1 month old is behind the passenger

I always put them in the middle!

In the middle of you could (protects from t-bone) but the driver will always protect its side of the vehicle first. So driver side if needed.
