Don’t make enough $$ to have kids??

I keep having people tell me that my husband and I are idiots for trying for a baby and would be awful parents if we got pregnant because we don’t make enough money.

We own our home. We pay about $630 a month for it and that includes property taxes and home insurance.

We have have 2 cars and a truck. All insured and one car and the truck are fully paid off.

We both have health insurance.

I work part time at $9.50 an hour and the hours would be great for raising a baby. My husband works full time at about $18-$19 an hour. It’s very cheap to live where we do.

We could also get wic and stuff like that I’m sure. We don’t have a ton of savings and do live paycheck to paycheck a little, but we are very happy and would do just fine with having kids I feel like.

It breaks my heart for people to say that we shouldn’t have kids because I want to be a mom so bad.
