Rules once baby arrives?

What are your rules going to be for family or friends in terms of seeing/holding the baby once they arrive? Such a weird time with Covid, just curious what other families are planning on doing.

Only immediate family and no children allowed over. Grandparents closer to Christmas and everyone must wear a mask + wash hands prior. No friends until after the new year. Not even taking the chance with the flu season approaching.

That my in-laws will not be allowed to hold him for as long as possible, I’ll tell them it’s due to covid but it’s actually due to them being evil 😂 
Probably won’t happen though, my husband will get really pissed. But I do have hospital grade hand wash and sanitizer & anyone who wants to touch him for the first 8 weeks (maybe more; we’ll see how the pandemic plays out) has to scrub up.

Asking our parents to quarantine before my due date, so we feel safe with them coming over. Friends (we’ve only been seeing 3 during covid), will definitely ask them to wear a mask if they are inside and probably no holding the baby.

Just immediate family for the first few weeks then probably grandparents for thanksgiving. I will certainly make them all clean their hands and if they’re sick, no way. I might even ask them to wear a mask if they want to hold him, I’m not sure yet. Cold and flu season is dangerous for babies as far as all illnesses, not just covid, RSV and whooping cough are a big risk. I’m nervous in general this time of year, we all got influenza A last year and my one year old didn’t get to enjoy Christmas and I’m not taking any chances.

With or without covid I only let my husbands parents come around (mine are far away) and siblings. Others can wait, flu in general is dangerous and whooping cough. 🤷‍♀️
